REEBOK

I was asked to design socks for the fall season for reebok. I wanted to design statement socks that were able to change the overall look of an outfit while also using prints and color schemes to give off a fall look.

I created a print for the men's sock that incorporates colors not typically seen in fall. For the women’s design, I drew my print inspiration from the marks left on pavements by leaves to mimic the actual transition of fall.

LEAF PRINTS:
I wanted to creat a print from a staple fall symbol without being so direct. When I think of fall, I think of the leaf prints left on the sidewalk and wanted to create my own version of that design.

Without just taking a leaf and creating a repeat, I created a print that captured the essence of a leaf by taking characteristics such as blurred lines in order to create a watercolor like abstract print.

HALF SMILE Concepting:
The fall is a time of layering and showing off prints and colors even when the weather can be colder and gloomy. Muted colors such as deep teals, chocolate browns and pale yellowsgive off a vintage yet trendy look for fall.

The foundation of street style is layering and at times; prints, construction and the outfit can get hidden under all of the layers. Street-style logos take simple symbols and add a bit of personality which is why I designed a smiley face print with an imperfect smile.
